ಆಗ ಆಸನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಜನರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೆರಾರಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದರು. ಕೂಷಿಯರು ತಮಗೆ ತ್ರಾಣವಿಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ಸೋತುಹೋದರು. ಅವರು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಆತನ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನಾಶ ವಾದರು. ಯೆಹೂದದವರು ಬಹು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನು ಒಯ್ದರು.

- 12ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಕೂಷಿಯರನ್ನು ಆಸನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಯೆಹೂ ದದವರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಹೊಡೆದನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕೂಷಿಯರು ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.
- 13ಆಗ ಆಸನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಜನರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೆರಾರಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದರು. ಕೂಷಿಯರು ತಮಗೆ ತ್ರಾಣವಿಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ಸೋತುಹೋದರು. ಅವರು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಆತನ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನಾಶ ವಾದರು. ಯೆಹೂದದವರು ಬಹು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನು ಒಯ್ದರು.
- 14ಅವರು ಗೆರಾರಿನ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರು. ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂತು. ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಮಾಡಿದರು.ಪಶುಗಳಿದ್ದ ಡೇರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಒಂಟೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಯೆರೂ ಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿದರು.
