1. 1ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಬರವಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಬರ ಬಂದಿತು. ಆಗ ಇಸಾಕನು ಗೆರಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
2. 2ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು--ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗಬೇಡ. ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರು.
3. 3ನೀನು ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿರು; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವೆನು. ನಿನಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನಕ್ಕೂ ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಡುವೆನು. ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಈಡೇರಿಸುವೆನು.
