ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಮೂವತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಅಜೂಬಳು; ಆಕೆಯು ಶಿಲ್ಹಿಯ ಮಗಳಾ ಗಿದ್ದಳು.

31ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಮೂವತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಅಜೂಬಳು; ಆಕೆಯು ಶಿಲ್ಹಿಯ ಮಗಳಾ ಗಿದ್ದಳು.
32ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಆಸನ ಮಾರ್ಗ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದು ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡದೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
33ಆದರೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ಇನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ;
