3. 23ವರುಷಾಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಅರಾಮಿನ ಸೈನ್ಯದವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಯೆಹೂದಕ್ಕೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೂ ಬಂದು ಜನರ ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನು ಅವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ದಮಸ್ಕದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
4. 24ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ಅಲ್ಪಜನವಾದ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದಾಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಬಹು ಅಧಿಕ ವಾದ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ನ್ಯಾಯ ತೀರ್ವಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವನು ಕಠಿಣ ರೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವಾಗ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದರು.
5. 25ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟತರುವಾಯ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋ ಯಾದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ರಕ್ತಾಪರಾಧದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿ ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನ ಮಂಚದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಅವರು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟರು; ಆದರೆ ಅರಸುಗಳ ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿ ಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
