1. 2ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನು ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾ ದನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
2. 3ಯೆಹೋಯಾ ದನು ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡನು. ಅವನು ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನೂ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆ ಯರನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದನು.
3. 4ಇದರ ತರುವಾಯ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಯೆಹೋ ವಾಷನು ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ದುರಸ್ತು ಮಾಡುವ ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
4. 5ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಯಾಜ ಕರನ್ನೂ ಲೇವಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆನೀವು ಯೆಹೂದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿ ವರುಷ ವರುಷಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ದುರಸ್ತು ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಂದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿರಿ. ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ನಡಿಸಿರಿ ಅಂದನು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಲೇವಿಯರು ಅವಸರ ಮಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.
5. 6ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾದ ಯೆಹೋ ಯಾದನನ್ನು ಕರೇಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನ ಸೇವಕ ನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಭೆಯೂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಗುಡಾರದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಯೆಹೂದದಿಂದಲೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿ ನಿಂದಲೂ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲು ನೀನು ಲೇವಿಯ ರನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ?
