2. 12ಬದುಕಿದ್ದ ಬೇರೆ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಯೆಹೂದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ದು ಬಂಡೆಯ ಶಿಖರಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಶಿಖರದಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ದೊಬ್ಬಿದರು. ಆದ ದರಿಂದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ತುಂಡುತುಂಡಾದರು.
3. 13ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಮಚ್ಯನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಗುಂಪಿನವರು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಬೇತ್ಹೋರೋನಿನ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಹುಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರು.
4. 14ಅಮಚ್ಯನು ಎದೋಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದ ತರುವಾಯ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ತಾನು ಸೇಯಾ ರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಅವು ತನಗೆ ದೇವರುಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟನು.
5. 15ಆದಕಾರಣ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೋಪವು ಅಮಚ್ಯನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊತ್ತಿತು; ಆತನು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ತಮ್ಮ ಜನ ರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಲಾರದ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ಹುಡುಕುವದೇನು ಅಂದನು.
