- 10ಅವನು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬುರುಜುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಅನೇಕ ಬಾವಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೋಡಿಸಿ ದನು; ತಗ್ಗಿನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬೈಲು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಹು ಕುರಿದನಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪರ್ವತ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ಮೆಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿ ಗರೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ವ್ಯವಸಾಯದವರೂ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅವನು ವ್ಯವಸಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಷ್ಟವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
- 11ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಾದ ಯೆಗೀಯೇಲನ ಕೈ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಮಾಸೇಯನ ಕೈ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಲೆಕ್ಕದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಗುಂಪು ಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ರಾಣುವೆಯವರ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನಿಗೆ ಇತ್ತು. ಆ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಅರಸನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದ ಹನನ್ಯನ ಕೈಕೆಳಗೆ ಇತ್ತು.

- 13ಅವರ ಕೈಕೆಳಗೆ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯವಾಗಿ ಶತ್ರುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಹಳ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವ ಮೂರು ಲಕ್ಷದ ಏಳು ಸಾವಿರದ ಐನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಯುಳ್ಳ ಸೈನ್ಯವಿತ್ತು.
- 14ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ದಂಡಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಈಟಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಶಿರಸ್ತ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಉಕ್ಕಿನ ಕವಚಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕವಣೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನು.
