ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಅಮಚ್ಯನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸರಿ ಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
Avanu tanna tandeyaada amachyanu maadida ellaadara prakaara kartana drushtige sari yaadaddannu maadidanu.

- 2ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಇವನು ಎಲೋತನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಯೆಹೂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿದನು.
- 3ಉಜ್ಜೀಯನು ಆಳಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಹದಿನಾರು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಐವತ್ತೆರಡು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಯೆಕೊಲ್ಯಳು; ಅವಳು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನವ ಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.
- 4ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಅಮಚ್ಯನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸರಿ ಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
- 5ದೇವರ ದರ್ಶನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಜೆಕರೀಯನ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದನು. ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡು ಕುವ ದಿವಸಗಳ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಭಿ ವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದನು.
- 6ಅವನು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಗತ್‌ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನೂ ಯಬ್ನೆಯ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅಷ್ಡೋದಿನ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೆಡವಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಷ್ಡೋ ದಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
