ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಪಟ್ಟಣ ವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನರನ್ನು ಭಯಪಡಿಸುವ ದಕ್ಕೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳವಳಪಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿ ದರು.

- 17ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸುವ ದಕ್ಕೂ ಆತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದನು. ಏನಂದರೆ--ಇತರ ದೇಶಗಳ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ದೇವರುಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಜನರನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೇಗೆ ಬಿಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಲಾರನು.

- 19ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕೈ ಕೆಲಸವಾದ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಜನಗಳ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
- 20ಇದರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನೂ ಆಮೋ ಚನ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನೂ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿ ಪರಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಗಿದರು.
