ಆಗ ಯೆಶಾಯನು --ಕರ್ತನು, ತಾನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ನೆಂಬದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ಗುರುತು ಇದೇ--ನೆರಳು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
Aaga yeshaayanu --kartanu, taanu helida kaaryavannu maaduva nembadakke kartana kadeyinda ninage untaaguva gurutu ide--neralu hattu mettalu mundakke hogabeko? Illave hattu mettalu hindakke hogabeko endu kelidanu.

- 9ಆಗ ಯೆಶಾಯನು --ಕರ್ತನು, ತಾನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ನೆಂಬದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ಗುರುತು ಇದೇ--ನೆರಳು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
- 10ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀ ಯನು--ನೆರಳು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಇಳಿಯುವದು ಅಲ್ಪವಾದದ್ದು; ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ, ನೆರಳು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
- 11ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಆಹಾಜನ ಛಾಯಾಸ್ತಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದುಹೋದ ನೆರ ಳನ್ನು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು.
