ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ನೆಬಾ ಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನೂ ಅವನು ಕೆಡವಿಹಾಕಿ ಸುಟ್ಟ್ಟು ಅದನ್ನು ಧೂಳಾ ಗಲು ಪುಡಿಮಾಡಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹದ ತೋಪನ್ನು ಸುಡಿಸಿದನು.

15ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ನೆಬಾ ಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನೂ ಅವನು ಕೆಡವಿಹಾಕಿ ಸುಟ್ಟ್ಟು ಅದನ್ನು ಧೂಳಾ ಗಲು ಪುಡಿಮಾಡಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹದ ತೋಪನ್ನು ಸುಡಿಸಿದನು.
16ಯೋಷೀಯನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳಿಂದ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸಾರಿದ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡಿದನು.
17ಆಗ ಅವನು--ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ ಆ ಶಿರೋನಾಮವೇನು ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಜನರು ಅವನಿಗೆಯೆಹೂದದಿಂದ ಬಂದು ಬೇತೇಲಿನ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಸಮಾಧಿ ಅಂದರು.
