1. 1ಅವನ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚರನು ಬಂದನು. ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನು ಮೂರು ವರುಷ ಅವನ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿದ್ದು ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದನು.
2. 2ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ, ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ, ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರ, ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯರ ಗುಂಪುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಾದ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯೆಹೂದವನ್ನು ನಾಶ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು.
3. 3ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಿಂದ ಇದು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಯಿತು. ಅದೇನಂದರೆ, ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕುವದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೇ.
