ಹೀಗೆ ಅವಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿ ತಾನೂ ತನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರೂ ಬಾಗಲು ಮುಚ್ಚಿದರು; ಇವರು ಅವಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು; ಅವಳು ಹೊಯಿದಳು.

- 4ನೀನು ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರೂ ಬಾಗಲು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊಯಿದು ತುಂಬಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಕಡೆ ಇರಿಸು ಅಂದನು.

- 6ಆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳು ತುಂಬಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಿಗೆ--ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ ಅಂದಳು. ಅವನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ--ಇನ್ನು ಪಾತ್ರೆ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
- 7ಆಗ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯುಕ್ಕುವದು ನಿಂತು ಹೋಯಿತು. ಆಗ ಅವಳು ಬಂದು ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದಳು. ಅವನು--ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾರಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಾಲವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸಿ ಮಿಕ್ಕದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಜೀವನ ಮಾಡಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
