2. 6ಆದರೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವವನು ದೇವರು ಇದ್ದಾನೆ, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಜಾಗ್ರತೆಯಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕು ವವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ನಂಬು ವದು ಅವಶ್ಯ.
3. 7ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನೋಹನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣದಿದ್ದವುಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಭಯಗ್ರಸ್ತನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ನಾವೆಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಲೋಕದವರನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿ ತರುವಾಯ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂ ದುಂಟಾಗುವ ನೀತಿಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯನಾದನು.
4. 8ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಕರೆಯ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ವಿಧೇಯನಾಗಿ ತಾನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು; ತಾನು ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾದ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಯಾವದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಹೊರಟನು.
5. 9ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅವನು ವಾಗ್ದತ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದವನಂತೆ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅದೇ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಇಸಾಕ ಯಾಕೋಬರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದನು.
