1. 1ಎಲೀಷನು ತಾನು ಬದುಕಿಸಿದ ಮಗನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದವಳಿಗೆ -- ನೀನು ಎದ್ದು ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೂ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳ ಉಂಟೋ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡಿರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಬರವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅದು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಏಳು ವರುಷದ ವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
2. 2ಆಗ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಎದ್ದು ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಮಾಡಿ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ವರುಷ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.
3. 3ಏಳು ವರುಷದ ತರುವಾಯ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟಳು.
4. 4ಅರಸನು ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಸೇವ ಕನಾದ ಗೇಹಜಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ಎಲೀ ಷನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ವಿವರವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸೆಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
5. 5ಅವನು ಸತ್ತವನನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿಸಿದನೆಂದು, ಗೇಹಜಿಯು ಅರಸ ನಿಗೆ ವಿವರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ ಇಗೋ, ಬದುಕಿಸಿದ ಮಗನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು. ಆಗ ಗೇಹಜಿಯುನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ಅರಸನೇ, ಇವಳೇ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು, ಎಲೀಷನು ಬದುಕಿಸಿದ ಇವಳ ಮಗನು ಇವನೇ ಅಂದನು.
