1. 1ಇದರ ತರುವಾಯ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅರಸನು ಸತ್ತನು; ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹಾನೂನನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
2. 2ದಾವೀದನು--ಹಾನೂನನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ನಾಹಾಷನು ನನಗೆ ದಯೆತೋರಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾನೂ ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹಾನೂನನಿಗೆ ದಯೆತೋರಿಸುವೆನು ಅಂದನು. ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನ ತಂದೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆದರಣೆ ಹೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
3. 3ದಾವೀದನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನನಾದ ಹಾನೂನ ನಿಗೆ--ದಾವೀದನು ಆದರಣೆ ಹೇಳುವವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಘನ ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸುತ್ತೀಯೋ? ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ವನ್ನು ಶೋಧಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಪಾಳತಿನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಹಾಕುವದಕ್ಕೂ ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲವೋ ಅಂದರು.
