2. 5ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ದಾವೀದ ನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದಾಗ ಆ ಜನರು ಬಹಳ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಟ್ಟದ್ದ ರಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನು ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ಕಳು ಹಿಸಿ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗಡ್ಡಗಳು ಬೆಳೆಯುವವರೆಗೆ ನೀವು ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾದಿದ್ದು ತರುವಾಯ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
3. 6ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಾವು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ ವಾದೆವೆಂದು ತಿಳುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅವರು (ದೂತರನ್ನು) ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಬೇತ್‌ರೆಹೋಬ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಚೋಬಾದ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಇಪ್ತತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಕಾಲಾಳುಗಳಾದ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಅರಸನಾದ ಮಾಕನ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಇಷ್ಟೋಬ್‌ನಿಂದ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಕೂಲಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರು.
4. 7ದಾವೀದನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ಯೋವಾಬನನ್ನೂ ಪರಾ ಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳಾದ ಸಕಲ ಶೂರಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿ ಸಿದನು.
5. 8ಆಗ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹೊರಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಾಗಲ ಮುಂದೆ ವ್ಯೂಹಕಟ್ಟಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಚೋಬಾದಿಂದಲೂ ರೆಹೋಬ್‌ನಿಂದಲೂ ಇಷ್ಟೋಬ್‌ ನಿಂದಲೂ ಮಾಕನಿಂದಲೂ ಬಂದ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆ ಇಳಿದಿದ್ದರು.
