1. 11ಊರೀಯನು ದಾವೀದ ನಿಗೆ--ಮಂಜೂಷವೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೂ ಯೆಹೂದ ದವರೂ ಡೇರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿರುವಾಗಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನೂ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಸೇವ ಕರೂ ಬೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದಂಡಿಳಿದಿರುವಾಗ ನಾನು ಉಣ್ಣುವ ದಕ್ಕೂ ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲೋ? ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣದ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನಾನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
2. 12ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಊರೀಯನಿಗೆ--ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಇಲ್ಲಿರು; ನಾಳೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಊರೀಯನು ಆ ದಿನವೂ ಮಾರನೆ ದಿನವೂ ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದನು.
3. 13ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆದಾಗ ಅವನು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಉಂಡು ಕುಡಿದನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಮಲೇರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗದೆ ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಸೇವಕರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
4. 14ಉದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದನು ಯೋವಾಬನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ಊರೀಯನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
5. 15ಆ ಪತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ--ಊರೀಯನನ್ನು ಘೋರವಾದ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಮುಂದುಗಡೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಅವನು ಹೊಡೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಸಾಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನೀವು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಯಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದನು.
