ಅವನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ತೀರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬಂದು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತರು. ಅರಸನೂ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತರು.

- 36ಅವನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ತೀರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬಂದು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತರು. ಅರಸನೂ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತರು.
- 37ಆದರೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾ ಲೋಮನು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಗೆಷೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವ ಅವ್ಮೆಾಹೂದನ ಮಗನಾದ ತಲ್ಮೈಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ದಾವೀದನು ದಿನಂಪ್ರತಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಿಗಾಗಿ ದುಃಖಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
- 38ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಗೆಷೂರಿಗೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ವರುಷ ಇದ್ದನು.ಆದರೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಸೆಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅಮ್ನೋನನು ಸತ್ತುಹೋದದರಿಂದ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆದರಣೆಹೊಂದಿದನು.
