1. 33ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರು ಸತ್ತರೆಂಬುವ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಲ್ಲಿಡಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅಮ್ನೋನನು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಸತ್ತನು ಅಂದನು.
2. 34ಆದರೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಓಡಿ ಹೋದನು; ಆಗ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನು ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳ ನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡುವಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅವನ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಜನರು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
3. 35ಆಗ ಯೋನಾದಾಬನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆಇಗೋ, ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವ ಕನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಯಿತು ಅಂದನು.
4. 36ಅವನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ತೀರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬಂದು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತರು. ಅರಸನೂ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತರು.
5. 37ಆದರೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾ ಲೋಮನು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಗೆಷೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಾಗಿರುವ ಅವ್ಮೆಾಹೂದನ ಮಗನಾದ ತಲ್ಮೈಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ದಾವೀದನು ದಿನಂಪ್ರತಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಿಗಾಗಿ ದುಃಖಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
