ಆದರೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಓಡಿ ಹೋದನು; ಆಗ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನು ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳ ನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡುವಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅವನ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಜನರು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

- 33ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರು ಸತ್ತರೆಂಬುವ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಲ್ಲಿಡಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅಮ್ನೋನನು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಸತ್ತನು ಅಂದನು.
