ಆಗ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನು ಕೂಗಿ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಅರಸನು--ಅವನು ಒಬ್ಬನಾಗಿ ಬಂದರೆ ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ಇರುವದು ಅಂದನು.
Aaga kaavalugaaranu koogi arasanige tilisidanu. Arasanu--avanu obbanaagi bandare avana baayiyalli vartamaana iruvadu andanu.

- 25ಆಗ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನು ಕೂಗಿ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಅರಸನು--ಅವನು ಒಬ್ಬನಾಗಿ ಬಂದರೆ ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ಇರುವದು ಅಂದನು.
- 26ಅವನು ಬಂದು ಸವಿಾಪಿಸಿದನು. ಕಾವ ಲುಗಾರನು ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬನು ಓಡಿ ಬರುವದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಬಾಗಲು ಕಾಯುವವನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು--ಇಗೋ, ಮತ್ತೊ ಬ್ಬನು ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಓಡಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.
- 27ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಸನು--ಅವನು ಸಹ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನುಮೊದಲನೆಯವನ ಓಟವು ಚಾದೋಕನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಹೀಮಾಚನ ಓಟದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವದೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಸನು--ಅವನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನು, ಒಳ್ಳೇ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.
