1. 6ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರು ಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಿತ್ರರನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೂ ಕುಮಾರರ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಮುಖಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೀ. ಪ್ರಧಾನರಾದವರೂ ಸೇವಕರಾದವರೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ತಿಳಿಯ ಮಾಡಿದಿ. ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸತ್ತು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋ ಮನು ಬದುಕಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.
2. 7ಈಗ ನೀನು ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡು. ನೀನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾದರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಯೌವ್ವನತನದಿಂದ ಈ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಬಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಡಿಗಿಂತ ಅಧಿಕ ಕೇಡಾಗಿರುವದು ಅಂದನು.
3. 8ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಎದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತನು. ಇಗೋ, ಅರಸನು ಬಾಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿ ದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜನ ರೆಲ್ಲರು ಅರಸನ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು.
4. 9ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡಿ--ನಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರು ಗಳ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನು ಅರಸನೇ; ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ದವನೂ ಅವನೇ.
5. 10ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಳಲು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತನು. ನಾವು ಈಗ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಾರದೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಇರುವದು ಯಾಕೆ ಅಂದರು.
