- 24ಯಾವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರೆಂಬದನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯ ನಾಯಕನು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೋಟೆ ಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ತರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ ಕೊರಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು;
- 25ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಾರುಗಳಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಪೌಲನು ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗೆ--ರೋಮ್‌ ನವನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡದೆ ಕೊರಡೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡಿಸುವದು ನಿಮಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯವೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
