ಹೀಗೆ ಬಹುಕಾಲ ಕಳೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಪವಾಸದ ಸಮಯವು ಆಗಲೇ ದಾಟಿಹೋದದರಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವು ಅಪಾಯಕರವಾದಾಗ ಪೌಲನು ಅವ ರನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾ--

Heege bahukaala kaleda mele upavaasada samayavu aagale daatihodadarinda samudra prayaanavu apaayakaravaadaaga paulanu ava rannu echcharisuttaa--

7ನಾವು ಅನೇಕ ದಿವಸ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗಿದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಎದುರುಗಾಳಿಯ ದೆಸೆ ಯಿಂದ ಸಲ್ಮೊನೆಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಕ್ರೇತದ ಮರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದೆವು;
8ಅದನ್ನು ದಾಟುವದು ಕಷ್ಟವಾದದರಿಂದ ಚಂದರೇವುಗಳೆಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿ ದೆವು; ಲಸಾಯವೆಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸವಿಾಪವಾಗಿದೆ.
9ಹೀಗೆ ಬಹುಕಾಲ ಕಳೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಪವಾಸದ ಸಮಯವು ಆಗಲೇ ದಾಟಿಹೋದದರಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವು ಅಪಾಯಕರವಾದಾಗ ಪೌಲನು ಅವ ರನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾ--
10ಅಯ್ಯಗಳಿರಾ, ಈ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವು ಸರಕಿಗೂ ಹಡಗಿಗೂ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನಷ್ಟವನ್ನೂ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವಂತದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ತೋರು ತ್ತದೆ.
11ಆದರೂ ಪೌಲನು ಹೇಳಿದವುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಹಡಗಿನ ನಾಯಕನೂ ಯಜಮಾನನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದವನನ್ನು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ನಂಬಿದನು.
