2. 31ಈ ಮಾತು ಅರಸನ ಬಾಯಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಶಬ್ದವು ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು; ಏನಂದರೆ--ಓ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆ ಚ್ಚರನೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಯಿತು.
3. 32ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರೊಳಗಿಂದ ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಡುವರು. ನಿನ್ನ ನಿವಾಸವು ಕಾಡುಮೃಗಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವದು, ನಿನಗೆ ಎತ್ತುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸುವರು. ಮಹೋ ನ್ನತನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನಾಳುವನೆಂದೂ ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸರಿಬಂದವರಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನೆಂದೂ ನೀನು ತಿಳಿಯುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ಕಾಲಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗುವವು.
4. 33ಅದೇ ಗಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಯು ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು. ಅವನು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ರಿಂದ ತಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಎತ್ತುಗಳಂತೆ ಹುಲ್ಲು ಮೇಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಅವನ ಕೂದಲು ಹದ್ದಿನ ಗರಿಗಳಂತೆಯೂ ಅವನ ಉಗುರುಗಳು ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಉಗುರುಗಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಅವನ ಶರೀರವು ಆಕಾಶದ ಮಂಜಿ ನಿಂದ ತೇವವಾಯಿತು.
5. 34ಆ ಕೊನೆಯ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನಾದ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಪರ ಲೋಕದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಎತ್ತಿದೆನು; ನನ್ನ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ನನಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂತು; ಆಗ ನಾನು ಮಹೋನ್ನತನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವಾತನೂ ನಿತ್ಯವಾದ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಆಳುವಾತನನ್ನು ತಲತಲಾಂತರಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಳ್ಳಾತನನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿ ಘನಪಡಿಸಿದೆನು.
