ನೀನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಮೇಘ ಮಂತ್ರದವರ ಕಣಿಹೇಳುವವರ ಮಾತು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನಾದರೋ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಗೊಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

- 15ನನ್ನ ಹಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರ ರಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವನು; ಅವನ ಮಾತು ನೀವು ಕೇಳ ಬೇಕು.--
- 16ನೀನು ಹೋರೇಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಭೆಯ ದಿವಸ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆಗುವದು; ನಾನು ಸಾಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಈ ಘೋರವಾದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.
