ನರಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡುವವ ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ದೇಶದ ಮೇರೆ ಯನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಭಾಗಮಾಡಿ ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

- 4ಬದುಕುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗತಕ್ಕ ಕೊಲೆ ಪಾತಕನ ವಿವರವೇನಂದರೆ -- ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಗೆಮಾಡದೆ ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದವನೇ.
- 5ಹೇಗಂದರೆ--ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯ ವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡವಿಗೆ ಹೋಗ ಲಾಗಿ, ಕೊಡಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದ ಅವನ ಕೈ ಮರವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಚಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವು ಕಾವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವನ ನೆರೆಯವನು ಸಾಯುವಹಾಗೆ ತಗಲಿದರೆ,
