1. 3ನರಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡುವವ ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ದೇಶದ ಮೇರೆ ಯನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಭಾಗಮಾಡಿ ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
2. 4ಬದುಕುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗತಕ್ಕ ಕೊಲೆ ಪಾತಕನ ವಿವರವೇನಂದರೆ -- ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಗೆಮಾಡದೆ ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದವನೇ.
3. 5ಹೇಗಂದರೆ--ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯ ವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡವಿಗೆ ಹೋಗ ಲಾಗಿ, ಕೊಡಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದ ಅವನ ಕೈ ಮರವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಚಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವು ಕಾವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವನ ನೆರೆಯವನು ಸಾಯುವಹಾಗೆ ತಗಲಿದರೆ,
4. 6ರಕ್ತ ವಿಚಾರಕನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಪ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಕೊಲೆಪಾತಕನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ, ಮಾರ್ಗ ದೂರವಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಗೆಮಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಮರ ಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರನಾಗದ ಇವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಬದುಕಬೇಕು.
5. 7ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು ವದೇನಂದರೆ--ಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಬೇಕು.
