ಅವರ ಬಲಿಗಳ ಕೊಬ್ಬನ್ನು ತಿಂದಂಥ, ಅವರ ಪಾನದ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಗಳ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ಕುಡಿದಂಥ ಅವರ ಬಂಡೆಯು ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಅವರು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲಿ; ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಾವಲಾಗಲಿ.

- 39ನಾನು ಆತನೇ ಎಂದೂ ನನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ಈಗ ನೋಡಿರಿ; ನಾನೇ ಸಾಯಿಸು ತ್ತೇನೆ, ಬದುಕಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಗಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನಾನೇ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವವನು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
