ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಯು ಈ ವರ್ತಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷನ ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸವಿಾಪ ವಾಗಿಯೂ ದೂರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಸಕಲ ಯೆಹೂ ದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

20ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಅಡಾರ್‌ ತಿಂಗಳ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ದಿವಸವನ್ನೂ ಹದಿನೈದನೇ ದಿವಸವನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರು ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ
21ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಯು ಈ ವರ್ತಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ಅಹಷ್ವೇರೋಷನ ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸವಿಾಪ ವಾಗಿಯೂ ದೂರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಸಕಲ ಯೆಹೂ ದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
22ಏನಂದರೆ, ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದರು. ಆ ತಿಂಗಳು ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಸಂತೋಷಕ್ಕೂ ಗೋಳಾಡುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಸುದಿನಕ್ಕೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಯಿತು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬದ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಂತೋಷದ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಬಡವ ರಿಗೆ ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂಬದು.
23ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ತಾವು ಆರಂಭಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈ ತಮಗೆ ಬರೆದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಲು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡರು.
