ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಲಾವಕ್ಕಿ ಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅವರ ಪಾಳೆಯವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡವು; ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಮಂಜು ಪಾಳೆಯದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಬಿದ್ದಿತ್ತು.

- 14ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಮಂಜು ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಗೋ, ಗಟ್ಟಿ ಯಾದ ಪದಾರ್ಥವು ಮಂಜಿನ ಹನಿಯಷ್ಟು ಚಿಕ್ಕ ದಾದದ್ದೂ ಗುಂಡಾದದ್ದೂ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಡಿತ್ತು.
- 15ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು--ಇದು ಮನ್ನಾ ಅಂದರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ಏನಾಗಿತ್ತೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯು ಇದೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
