ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಮಂಜು ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಗೋ, ಗಟ್ಟಿ ಯಾದ ಪದಾರ್ಥವು ಮಂಜಿನ ಹನಿಯಷ್ಟು ಚಿಕ್ಕ ದಾದದ್ದೂ ಗುಂಡಾದದ್ದೂ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಡಿತ್ತು.
Biddidda manju hoda mele igo, gatti yaada padaarthavu manjina haniyashtu chikka daadaddoo gundaadaddoo aranyada bhoomiya mele haradittu.

- 13ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಲಾವಕ್ಕಿ ಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅವರ ಪಾಳೆಯವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡವು; ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಮಂಜು ಪಾಳೆಯದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಬಿದ್ದಿತ್ತು.

- 15ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು--ಇದು ಮನ್ನಾ ಅಂದರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ಏನಾಗಿತ್ತೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯು ಇದೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 16ಕರ್ತನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತಾನು ಎಷ್ಟು ತಿನ್ನುವನೋ ಅದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಲಿ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಓಮೆರದಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಡೇರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನೀವು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
