ಆರನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಎರಡರಷ್ಟು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಯನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ಓಮೆರದಂತೆ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸಭೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಬಂದು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

- 20ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅವರು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೆಲವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅದು ಹುಳಬಿದ್ದು ನಾತ ಹುಟ್ಟಿತು. ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡನು.
- 21ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತಿನ್ನು ವಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರತಿ ದಿನದ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಬಿಸಿಲು ಬಹಳವಾದಾಗ ಅದು ಕರಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

- 23ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು ಇದೇ--ನಾಳೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿನವಾಗಿದೆ, ಇಂದೇ ಸುಡಬೇಕಾ ದದ್ದನ್ನು ಸುಡಿರಿ, ಬೇಯಿಸಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಬೇಯಿಸಿರಿ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
- 24ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅದನ್ನು ಮರು ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅದು ನಾತಹಿಡಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಳಗಳೂ ಇರ ಲಿಲ್ಲ.
