ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ದಾಹಗೊಂಡು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣು ಗುಟ್ಟಿ--ನಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದನಗಳನ್ನೂ ದಾಹದಿಂದ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಯಾಕೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೊಳ ಗಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದಿ ಅಂದರು.
Alli janaru daahagondu moshege viruddhavaagi gunu gutti--nammannoo namma makkalannoo namma danagalannoo daahadinda kolluvadakkaagi yaake aiguptadola ginda illige baramaadidi andaru.

- 2ಆದಕಾರಣ ಜನರು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ವಿವಾದಮಾಡಿ--ನಮಗೆ ಕುಡಿ ಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರು ಕೊಡು ಅಂದಾಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಯಾಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ವಿವಾದ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ ಅಂದನು.

- 4ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟು--ಈ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನಾನೇನು ಮಾಡಲಿ? ಅವರು ಬಹಳ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯುವದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂದನು.
- 5ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ನೀನು ನದಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗು.
