1. 3ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ದಾಹಗೊಂಡು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣು ಗುಟ್ಟಿ--ನಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದನಗಳನ್ನೂ ದಾಹದಿಂದ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಯಾಕೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೊಳ ಗಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದಿ ಅಂದರು.
2. 4ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟು--ಈ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನಾನೇನು ಮಾಡಲಿ? ಅವರು ಬಹಳ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯುವದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂದನು.
3. 5ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ನೀನು ನದಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗು.
4. 6ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಹೋರೇಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು ನೀನು ಬಂಡೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯ ಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ಜನರು ಕುಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ನೀರು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರುವದು ಅಂದನು. ಮೋಶೆಯು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
5. 7ಅವನು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಮಸ್ಸಾ ಮೆರಿಬಾ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ವಿವಾದ ಮಾಡಿದರು.-- ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು.
