ತುತೂರಿಯ ಶಬ್ದವು ಬರಬರುತ್ತಾ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತಿತ್ತು. ಮೋಶೆಯು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದಾಗ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವರದಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

- 18ಕರ್ತನು ಅಗ್ನಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಸೀನಾಯಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಳಿದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊಗೆ ಹಾಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಅದರ ಹೊಗೆಯು ಆವಿಗೆಯ ಹೊಗೆ ಯಂತೆ ಏರಿ ಬರುತ್ತಾ ಇತ್ತು. ಬೆಟ್ಟವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಕಂಪಿಸಿತು.
- 19ತುತೂರಿಯ ಶಬ್ದವು ಬರಬರುತ್ತಾ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತಿತ್ತು. ಮೋಶೆಯು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದಾಗ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವರದಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
- 20ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಸೀನಾಯಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತುದಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದನು, ಮೋಶೆಯು ಮೇಲೆ ಹೋದನು.
- 21ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ನೀನು ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅವರು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಜನರು ಸತ್ತಾರು.
