ಆರೋನನು ಐಗು ಪ್ತದ ನೀರುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಚಾಚಿದಾಗ ಕಪ್ಪೆಗಳು ಏರಿಬಂದು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡವು.

- 5ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ನೀನು ಆರೋನನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಹಿಡು ಕೊಂಡು ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನದಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಕೆರೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಚಾಚು; ಆಗ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಪ್ಪೆಗಳು ಬರುವವು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.
- 6ಆರೋನನು ಐಗು ಪ್ತದ ನೀರುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಚಾಚಿದಾಗ ಕಪ್ಪೆಗಳು ಏರಿಬಂದು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡವು.
- 7ಆದರೆ ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಂತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿ ಕಪ್ಪೆಗಳನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದರು.
- 8ಆಗ ಫರೋಹನು ಮೋಶೆ ಆರೋನರನ್ನು ಕರೆ ಯಿಸಿ--ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಕಪ್ಪೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳ ಬಳಿ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ತೊಲಗಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜನರು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯಜ್ಞಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
