ಹನ್ನೊಂದನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ, ಮೊದಲನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--

- 2ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ, ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸಮೂಹದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತ ನಾಡಿ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೊಡ್ಡಸ್ತಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನಾಗಿರುವೆ?
- 3ಇಗೋ, ಅಶ್ಶೂರ್ಯವು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳುಳ್ಳ ದೇವ ದಾರು ಆಗಿದೆ. ಅದರ ನೆರಳು ದಟ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ, ಎತ್ತರವು ನೀಳವಾಗಿದೆ; ಅದರ ತುದಿಯು ದಟ್ಟವಾದ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.
