ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿ ಸುವ ಬೆಳಕುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಕತ್ತಲು ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಆ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Aakaashadalli prakaashi suva belakugalannu ninna nimittavaagi naanu kattalu maaduvenu; aa kattaleyannu ninna deshada mele iduttenendu devaraada kartanu heluttaane.

- 9ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗೆ ನೀನು ಅರಿಯದ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಶನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅನೇಕ ಜನಗಳ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವೆನು.
- 10ಹೌದು, ನಾನು ಅನೇಕ ಜನರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಗೊಳಿಸುವೆನು, ನಾನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನನ್ನ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಬೀಸುವಾಗ ಅವರ ಅರಸರು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತಿಗೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ನೀನು ಬೀಳುವ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಡುಗುವರು.
