ದೇವರು--ಹಗಲನ್ನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಿಂದ ಬೇರೆ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ವಿಶಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕುಗಳಿರಲಿ; ಅವು ಹಗಲಿರುಳುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮಯ ದಿನ ಸಂವತ್ಸರ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೋರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರುತುಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿ;

- 14ದೇವರು--ಹಗಲನ್ನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಿಂದ ಬೇರೆ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ವಿಶಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕುಗಳಿರಲಿ; ಅವು ಹಗಲಿರುಳುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮಯ ದಿನ ಸಂವತ್ಸರ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೋರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರುತುಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿ;
- 15ಅವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಕುಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ವಿಶಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕುಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅದು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಯಿತು.
- 16ದೇವರು ಎರಡು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬೆಳಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು; ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬೆಳಕು ಹಗಲನ್ನಾಳುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಬೆಳಕು ರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನಾಳು ವದಕ್ಕೂ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಮಾಡಿ ದನು.
