ಆಗ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದವರ ಅಪರಾಧಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ದೇವರ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಂಡು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೆನು;

- 3ನಾನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ನನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯನ್ನೂ ಹರಿದು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಗಡ್ಡದ ಕೂದಲನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಂಡು ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದೆನು.
- 4ಆಗ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದವರ ಅಪರಾಧಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ದೇವರ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಂಡು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೆನು;
- 5ಆದರೆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸುವಾಗ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಭಾರದಿಂದೆದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿ ಯನ್ನೂ ಹರಿದುಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಮೊಣಕಾಲು ಗಳನ್ನೂರಿ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಚಾಚಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
- 6ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಎತ್ತುವಹಾಗೆ ಲಜ್ಜೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡು ತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದವು; ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪರಾಧವು ಆಕಾಶದ ಪರ್ಯಂತರ ಬೆಳೆಯಿತು.
