ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಬಹಳ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ವುಳ್ಳವಳೆಂದು ನೋಡಿದರು.

- 12ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ--ಈಕೆಯು ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವರು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಜೀವದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಸುವರು.
- 13ನಿನ್ನ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಉಳಿಯುವಂತೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
- 14ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಬಹಳ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ವುಳ್ಳವಳೆಂದು ನೋಡಿದರು.
- 15ಫರೋಹನ ಪ್ರಧಾ ನರು ಸಹ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಫರೋಹನ ಮುಂದೆ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಲಾಗಿ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಫರೋಹನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಳು.
- 16ಅವನು ಆಕೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕುರಿಗಳೂ ಎತ್ತುಗಳೂ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳೂ ದಾಸರೂ ದಾಸಿ ಯರೂ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಕತ್ತೆಗಳೂ ಒಂಟೆಗಳೂ ದೊರೆತವು.
