ತರುವಾಯ ಲೋಟನು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಮೈದಾನ ವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತನಗಾಗಿ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು; ಹೀಗೆ ಲೋಟನು ಮೂಡಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಂದೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು.

- 10ಲೋಟನು ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಮೈದಾನವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿದನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಸೊದೋಮನ್ನೂ ಗೊಮೋರ ವನ್ನೂ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಅದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಚೋಗರಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ನೀರಾವರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕರ್ತನ ತೋಟದಂತೆಯೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಂತೆಯೂ ಇತ್ತು.
- 11ತರುವಾಯ ಲೋಟನು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಮೈದಾನ ವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತನಗಾಗಿ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು; ಹೀಗೆ ಲೋಟನು ಮೂಡಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಂದೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು.
- 12ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದನು. ಲೋಟನು ಸೊದೋಮಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಡಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಮೈದಾನದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದನು.
- 13ಆದರೆ ಸೊದೋಮಿನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದುಷ್ಟರೂ ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹು ಪಾಪಿಷ್ಠರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದರು.
