ಸೊದೋಮಿನ ಅರಸನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ--ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡು, ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ತಕ್ಕೋ ಅಂದನು.
Sodomina arasanu abraamanige--manushyarannu nanage kodu, sampattannu neene takko andanu.

- 23ನಿನ್ನವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೂಲು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಕೆರದ ಬಾರನ್ನು ಸಹ ನಾನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ--ನಾನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಬಾರದು.ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರು ಊಟಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋದ ಆನೇರ ಎಷ್ಕೋಲ ಮಮ್ರೆ ಎಂಬ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಪಾಲು ಮಾತ್ರ ಇರಲಿ; ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಲನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
