- 12ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಅಸ್ತಮಿಸಲಾಗಿ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಗಾಢನಿದ್ರೆ ಹತ್ತಿತು. ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ಭಯದ ಘೋರಾಂಧಕಾರವು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕವಿಯಿತು.
- 13ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿ ಯವರು ತಮ್ಮದಲ್ಲದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರದೇಶಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವರು. ಅವರು ನಾನೂರು ವರುಷ ಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರನ್ನು ಶ್ರಮೆಪಡಿಸುವರು ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ತಿಳಿಯತಕ್ಕದ್ದು.
