1. 2ಆಗ ಜನರ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮೂಹಗಳು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ದೋಣಿ ಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡನು. ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಸಮೂಹ ದವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ದಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು.
2. 3ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅನೇಕ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಬಿತ್ತುವವನು ಬಿತ್ತುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟನು.
3. 4ಅವನು ಬಿತ್ತಿದಾಗ ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ದಾರಿಯ ಮಗ್ಗುಲಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವು; ಆಗ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅವು ಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟವು.
4. 5ಕೆಲವು ಬಹಳ ಮಣ್ಣಿಲ್ಲದ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳವಾದ ಮಣ್ಣು ಇಲ್ಲದ್ದರಿಂದ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅವು ಮೊಳೆತವು;
5. 6ಆದರೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವು ಬಾಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇರು ಇಲ್ಲದ್ದರಿಂದ ಒಣಗಿಹೋದವು.
