ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ದಹನಬಲಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಸಾಕನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಿಸಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.

- 6ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ದಹನಬಲಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಸಾಕನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಿಸಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.
- 7ಆಗ ಇಸಾಕನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು--ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು--ಇಗೋ, ಬೆಂಕಿಯೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯೂ ಇವೆ, ಆದರೆ ದಹನಬಲಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕುರಿಮರಿಯು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
- 8ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು--ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ದೇವರು ತಾನೇ ದಹನಬಲಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕುರಿಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿ ಸುವನು ಅಂದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದರು.
