2. 2ಅವನು ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಬಾವಿ ಇತ್ತು. ಇಗೋ, ಅದರ ಸವಿಾಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ಕುರಿಗಳ ಮಂದೆಗಳು ಮಲಗಿದ್ದವು. ಆ ಬಾವಿಯ ನೀರನ್ನು ಮಂದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಕುಡಿಸು ತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ಬಾವಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಂದುದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲು ಇತ್ತು.
3. 3ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂದೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದಾಗ ಬಾವಿಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಉರುಳಿಸಿ ಕುರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಸಿ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
4. 4ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನೀವು ಎಲ್ಲಿಯವರು ಅಂದಾಗ ಅವರು--ನಾವು ಖಾರಾನಿನವರು ಅಂದರು.
