ಹೀಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಲಿಬ್ನೆ, ಲೂಜು, ಅರ್ಮೋನ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಮರಗಳ ಹಸಿಕೋಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಪಟ್ಟೆಪಟ್ಟೆಯಾಗಿ ತೊಗಟೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಲಿದು ಅವುಗಳ ಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಿಳೀ ಬಣ್ಣವು ಕಾಣಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ

- 36ತನಗೂ ಯಾಕೋಬ ನಿಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ದಿನದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದಷ್ಟು ಅಂತರವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಲಾಬಾನನ ಮಿಕ್ಕ ಮಂದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸಿದನು.

- 38ಮಂದೆಗಳು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಸಮಯವೇ ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಗಮಕಾಲವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವು ಕೋಲುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಸಂಗಮಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದರಿಂದ
- 39ಚುಕ್ಕೆ ಮಚ್ಚೆ ರೇಖೆಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಈಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.

- Genesis 31:9–13 ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 31:9–13ಹೀಗೆ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕುರಿಗಳು ಗರ್ಭದರಿಸುವಾಗ ಆದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ ಸ್ವಪ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ ಇಗೋ, ಕುರಿ ಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರುವ ಟಗರುಗಳು ಚುಕ್ಕೆ ಮಚ್ಚೆ ರೇಖೆಗಳುಳ್ಳವುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಆಗ ದೇವದೂತನು ಸ್ವಪ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನೇ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು--ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದೆನು. ಅವನು ನನಗೆ--ಲಾಬಾನನು ನಿನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಟಗರುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡು; ಅವು ಚುಕ್ಕೆ ಮಚ್ಚೆ ರೇಖೆಯೂ ಉಳ್ಳವುಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. ನೀನು ಸ್ತಂಭವನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿ ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ಬೇತೇಲಿನ ದೇವರು ನಾನೇ. ಈಗ ಎದ್ದು ಈ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಂಧುಗಳ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗು ಅಂದನು.
